Fourteen students on PAAC's 2015 Summer Study Tour spent two weeks immersed in Vietnamese culture, history, and politics. They traveled from the capitol of Hanoi, to the ethnic minorities' villages in Sapa, to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An, and finally to the bustling Ho Chi Minh City. In every city, they met local youth and acted as young ambassadors, sharing the aloha spirit by performing hula and music, exchanging stories, and teaching art and English lessons. Each student gained a deep appreciation for Vietnam and many of their preconceived sterotypes of Vietnam were shattered. Special thanks to the Freeman Foundation for their generous support of this program.
