The Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC)
is pleased to announce that three Hawai’i public high school students
have been awarded scholarships from PAAC Board President Frank Boas
and the Freeman Foundation to take part in study abroad programs administered
by the Wo International Center at Punahou School in the summer of 2003.
Audrey Chihara, a junior at Lahainaluna High
School, will receive a full scholarship from the Freeman Foundation
to attend the Punahou School study abroad program in Japan this summer.
Audrey is a PAAC club member at Lahainaluna High School.
Kenny Dunn, a junior at Radford High School,
will receive a full scholarship from Frank Boas to attend the Punahou
School study abroad program in France this summer. Kenny is a student
in PAAC’s “Upload the World” after-school class at
Radford High School.
Christina Grijaldo, a sophomore at Radford High
School, will receive a full scholarship from the Freeman Foundation
to attend the Punahou School study abroad program in Japan this summer.

PAAC is a private, non-profit organization that
seeks to promote increased awareness of international affairs and U.S.
foreign policy, with special emphasis on Asia and the Pacific.
PAAC awards many different scholarships exclusively
to public high school students in PAAC clubs and after-school classes
statewide.
