RADFORD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WIN ACADEMIC WORLDQUEST COMPETITION

The Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) held the Hawaii State Academic WorldQuest 2003 competition on Saturday, February 15th in the Ala Moana Hotel Hibiscus Ballroom.

The winning team from Radford High School won a trip to Washington, DC to compete in the first-ever national competition of Academic WorldQuest for high school students held by the World Affairs Councils of America on March 29, 2003. The second place team is from Kahuku High School. The third place team is from Maui High School.

WorldQuest is a competitive team quiz game. Teams compete in rounds testing their knowledge of current affairs, world leaders, geography, recent history, flags, and international relations.

PAAC is a private, non-profit organization that seeks to promote increased awareness of international affairs and U.S. foreign policy, with special emphasis on Asia and the Pacific. PAAC conducts educational outreach programs for public and private high schools statewide. PAAC is also the World Affairs Council for the state of Hawaii.
