The conflict in the Middle East has dominated newspaper headlines lately. But this region’s problems did not start just with the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers in July 2006. Learn about the history dividing this region and the current crisis that escalated to a war between Israel and Hezbollah. What is at stake for each of the players in this conflict? Is there hope for peace in the Middle East? Join students from across the island in a simulation of peace talks between Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, the Palestine Liberation Organization, the United States, and the United Nations.
