Affairs Council and is hosted by the International Education
Week at Kapiolani Community College
Spring WorldQuest 2007
On
April 13, 2007, over 20 teams representing Honolulu, Leeward,
and Kapiolani Community Colleges took an international IQ
challenge called WorldQuest. This competition, sponsored
by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council and hosted by Honolulu
Community College, tested students’ knowledge of current
events, famous women in history, geography of Africa, world
religions, and history related to nationalism and imperialism.
As a member of the House of Representatives Committee on
International Affairs, Hawaii State Representative Gene
Ward was there to congratulate the students on their participation
and achievements. Each member of the top three teams received
over $100, $50 and $25 in prizes, respectively.
