UHCC International Affairs
Outreach Program

The International Affairs Outreach Project was established in 1991 by the Pacific Rim Foundation, in conjunction with the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges (UHCC). In July of 1993, the program was transferred to the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC). Currently the project is called the UHCC International Affairs Outreach Program.

The UHCC International Affairs Outreach Program is funded by the Hawaii State Legislature and was created by the Legislature "to increase international awareness and understanding of global affairs at the U.H. Community Colleges, targeting community college students and instructors, as well as the general public-thereby assisting UH in strengthening its international and cross-cultural programs."

The purpose of this program is to: (1) increase the knowledge of international and inter-cultural matters in community college students and the community at large throughout the state; and (2) identify and develop international resources for the staff and faculty at the community colleges.

Services are provided at NO cost to UHCC.
