PAAC’s 8th annual Hawaii State Chevron Academic WorldQuest Competition on November 17, 2007, was attended by 72 teams representing 25 public and private high schools on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. Students answered challenging questions from six categories: Current Events, People in the News, East Asia, Elections, International Law, and UN Peacekeeping Operations.
Punahou School took first place, and will represent Hawaii at the National Academic WorldQuest Competition in Washington DC on April 4-6, 2008. Another team from Punahou placed second, and a team from Mid-Pacific Institute placed third.
