Travel Program for High School Students
PAAC is seeking a teacher with experience leading student groups to serve as one of three chaperones for PAAC’s Summer Study Tour to China and Taiwan from June 15 – July 2, 2008, and a one-week pre-trip orientation from June 8 - 13, 2008. Chaperones will help design the academic program for the study tour as well as the content of the one-week pre-trip orientation. They will also create and implement a DOE standards-based project for 20 public high schools students to complete prior to and while on the trip. Interested applicants for the chaperone position should send a letter of interest and resume postmarked no later than February 25, 2008, to: PAAC, 1601 East-West Road, 4th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96848. Familiarity with Chinese history, culture, and language preferred. All travel expenses for the chaperone will be covered by PAAC.
