Over 250 students from 26 schools on Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu competed in our annual Academic WorldQuest Competition. Participants tested their International IQ in six rounds of challenging questions on International Trade and Finance, the Arctic, Privacy in the Digital Age, Organization of American States, Asia Matters for America, and Current Events. Congratulations to the first place team: Ana Bitter, Ramsey Goodale, Felix Peng, and Kylan Sakata from Waiakea High School. They will represent Hawai`i in the National Academic WorldQuest Competition in April 2016, sponsored by PAAC’s national organization, the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA). The Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation is generously sponsoring airfare and hotel accommodations for the entire team and their chaperone. Seabury Hall took second place, and Kealakehe High School took third place.
