Celebrating Citizen Diplomacy

Join us for a relaxed evening of conversation with seven leaders from the Asia-Pacific region participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program.

PAAC will also recognize Hawaiʻi’s volunteer network of organizations and individuals who share their time, expertise, and aloha with IVLP participants.  These citizen diplomats provide home hospitality and participate in fruitful discussion with visitors.  By helping to foster this exchange, they are helping to bridge trust and empathy across nations, one handshake at a time. In fiscal year 2018, PAAC will have hosted 127 visitors from 27 countries.
