Advanced Summer Seminar: Water is a Human Right in Hawai'i

June 25-29, 9am-2pm, University of Hawai'i

This week-long seminar strives to promote the transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies in Oceania.  This year's academy will focus on the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development related to ensuring clean water and sanitation (Goal 6), providing affordable and clean energy (Goal 7), making communities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable (Goal 11), ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns (Goal 12), protecting life on land (Goal 15), and strengthening partnerships to revitalize sustainable development (Goal 17).  

The Human Rights Academy is dedicated to informing students about current international issues and how they relate to Hawaii, as well as connecting them to the tools they need to become a part of the global movement to make a difference.
