Every semester, students in PAAC classes and clubs explore global issues and decide how they will act in their communities to make a difference locally. Here are pictures from their Global Action Projects and field trips throughout the 2016-2017 school year. Projects included removing invasive species from Waimea Valley, sifting for microplastics at Hanauma Bay, cleaning Ala Wai Boat Harbor, holding a Youth Civic Engagement conference, securing donations for the homeless, and creating a peace bench to honor fallen soldiers from the Vietnam War.
