Are you passionate about global peace and sustainability?
PAAC is currently seeking six to twelve graduate students across all disciplines to participate as coaches for the local 2023-2024 Academic WorldQuest Competition.
The Academic WorldQuest Competition is a global trivia competition for high school students. In teams of four, students across the state of Hawai’i test their International IQ for a chance to win a trip to Washington, D.C. and compete in the National Academic WorldQuest Competition.
Here are the responsibilities of coaches and the estimated hours for this role:

Attend a training session in October | [2 hours] |
Choose one content area and read materials provided in study guide (example) | [6-8 hours] |

Attend Academic WorldQuest Virtual Launch Party on November 16th | [1.5 hours] |
Create 10 questions for the local competition | [5 hours] |
Create 10-15 questions for practice with students | [5-7 hours] |
Meet with student teams virtually for coaching sessions in Jan/Feb *Hours dependent on total # of coaches recruited.
