From Hawaiʻi to the World: Mahalo to PAAC’s Class of 2025
Across Hawai‘i, from Waipahu to Hilo, from Kalani to Waialua, the Class of 2025 is stepping into the world — and bringing PAAC values with them.
This year’s seniors didn’t just attend summits or join club meetings. They grew into thoughtful leaders, curious global citizens, and empathetic changemakers. Their stories reflect a journey rooted in transformation.
“Before PAAC, I was more closed off and didn’t feel confident expressing my own thoughts… now I’ve grown to be more communicative and open-minded.”
🚀 From Purpose to Path
Micah Salvatera (Roosevelt High School) rediscovered his passion for engineering, not just as a career, but as a way to combat climate change. “PAAC reignited my sense of purpose. I want to use engineering to create sustainable solutions.”
Bayli Sober (Waialua High School) traveled to Switzerland and forged global friendships that changed her life. She’s now pursuing sustainable agriculture and business.
Emily Mendoza Ruiz (Konawaena High School) found her calling in early childhood education. “I want to be someone kids can trust — just like I found trust and belonging through PAAC.”
🌐 More Than a Program — A Mindset
This senior class has grappled with everything from nuclear diplomacy to fast fashion. They've formed policy recommendations, hosted service projects, and stepped out of their comfort zones.
Joshua Mori (Maui High School) translated for a Hiroshima survivor and called it “the most intimate exploration of history” he’s ever experienced.
Allison Iglesia (Kapaʻa High School) credits her Japan Study Tour with helping her find her voice: “I’ve started to express myself more. I have PAAC to thank.”
Jade Tonaki (Hawai‘i Technology Academy - Waipahu) says, “I want to be a lifelong learner. PAAC taught me how to analyze every side of a problem and create change.”
💬 Words from the Class of 2025
“Through PAAC, I learned to lead with grace and listen with intent.”
“We laughed, we grew, we connected. PAAC wasn’t just a club — it became a family.”
