Health without Borders - Global Vision Summit 2026
What happens when a health crisis spreads rapidly across borders?
The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) invites Hawaiʻi high school students to the Global Vision Summit (GVS) 2026, an immersive, one-day event that puts you at the center of one of the most important conversations of our time.
This year’s theme, “Health without Borders,” explores how global health crises can impact communities, economies, and societies across borders. From questions of disease prevention and containment to health equity and access to lifesaving resources, this summit will challenge you to think critically about how countries and communities can work together to respond to crises while balancing competing needs and priorities. 🌎🩺🤝
Why Attend?
GVS 2026 offers a thought-provoking opportunity to understand how global health crises can affect communities, economies, and societies across borders. Through the hands-on simulation and interactive discussions, you’ll explore the challenges of disease prevention, emergency response, health equity, and international cooperation. You’ll walk away with leadership, diplomacy, and collaboration skills, as well as a deeper understanding of how countries and communities can work together to respond to complex global health challenges.
What to Expect
Interactive Simulation: Step into the role of a country, organization, or regional stakeholder and navigate a rapidly unfolding global health crisis. Work through challenges involving disease prevention, emergency response, health equity, resource allocation, and international cooperation.
Leadership Development: Collaborate with other students to tackle complex, real-world challenges in global health. Strengthen your leadership, diplomacy, critical thinking, and teamwork skills as you navigate competing priorities and work toward solutions.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with students across Hawaiʻi who care about global health and the Pacific’s future. Build relationships with peers, mentors, and professionals working in health, diplomacy, international affairs, and community resilience.
Lunch Provided: We’ll take care of the food! Enjoy a complimentary lunch while you network, collaborate, and engage with other students and professionals.
