Student Showcase

Saturday, April 24, 2021

PAAC, Ceeds of Peace, and HawaiiKidsCAN would like to invite all members of the community to the Youth Action Alliance Hawaii (YAAH) Student Showcase on April 24, 2021 from 9:30-10:45am via Zoom.

The 2020-2021 YAAH cohort consists of 28 high school students from 17 public, private, charter, and home schools on Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii Island. This school year, these motivated young people have met at least twice a month on weekends to explore global issues, learn how to advocate for systems change through public policy, and carry out a community action project.

At the Student Showcase, see what the five YAAH hui have been doing to address important issues like climate change, education, social justice, health, and building a resilient Hawaii.

This event marks the final day in this 7-month long journey. Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of these outstanding members of our community!

Registration is free: bit.ly/yaahshowcase

About YAAH

Youth Action Alliance Hawai'i is a 7-month, cohort-based, extracurricular virtual program for Hawai'i high school students seeking to be civically engaged, take action to address issues in their community, and possess a global understanding of how those issues connect Hawai'i with the rest of the world. The program represents a collaboration between three like-minded non-profit organizations - Ceeds of Peace, HawaiiKidsCAN, and the Pacific & Asian Affairs Council - that believe young people are vital to tackling the challenges we face as a society.
