Virtual Learning

PAAC is offering Hawai'i high school students a variety of opportunities to continue learning about critical global issues and developing 21st century skills- all online. 

 

 

The Global Issues Certificate recognizes individual Hawaiʻi high school students who have expanded their understanding of global issues and international affairs to a degree worthy of recognition through active participation in PAAC's extracurricular High School Global Education Program.  Learn more.
 

PAAC developed free lesson plans on various global issues and their relevance to Hawai'i. Each lesson relates to one or more of the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and includes a curated list of articles or videos, a short kahoot quiz to test comprehension, discussion questions, ideas for action, and more. These lessons were designed to be easily adaptable for PAAC club meetings or classroom situations. PAAC can facilitate interactive simulations for your school, class, or PAAC club. These workshops may feature guest speakers or simulations focused on topics such as climate change, food security, and global ineuqality and their impact in Hawai'i. For larger groups, we can host a Mini-GVS, which might include your club and school community. For a smaller group or club, a Virtual Simulation might be a better fit.
