Annabelle Rogers, Kalaheo High School Senior

Annabelle is the daughter of a U.S. military service member, moving to Hawai‘i in 2019 from Japan. She volunteers with Kupu Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiʻi Youth Conservation Corps (HYCC), the Hawaiian Humane Society, and the Teens for Animals Council. She earned the AP Scholar Award in 2022 and is ranked 1/182 at Kalaheo High School with a 4.1 GPA.
She has focused her studies on environmental conservation and public service and is an excellent systems thinker. When she looks at the work ahead and systems change, she “recognizes the connections between all aspects of life, [...and] questions what links them all together?” Her conclusion is, “We are the piece of the puzzle with the ability to link anything together and with the capacity to appreciate our value and power in this beautiful and diverse world we can call home.”
She will attend the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service.
