Thanks to our stalwart supporters, PAAC has been promoting international affairs and preparing Hawai`i’s young leaders for an increasingly global society for 61 years. Over the years, we have seen our students develop into leaders with an international perspective. We know the potential of this work to shape lives and improve our community.
We have been thinking about new ways to engage students at a deeper level and work more closely with them. Thus, we are excited to announce our NEW Global Leadership Program!
Over the course of nine months, twenty students from across the state will be trained on personal leadership, social identity development, intercultural sensitivity, conflict resolution, and global citizenship. Our goal is to develop global citizens who are informed about international issues, empowered to resolve 21st century challenges, and feel connected with others around the world.
Special thanks to the Qatar Foundation International and the McInerny Foundation for their support of this initiative. See pictures of the 2015 cohort in the gallery.
