Let your voice lead us. Explore new horizons with PAAC!
At PAAC we have been thinking a lot about how to support the development of leaders in Hawaiʻi. We believe the future is as bright as the people who rise to explore, listen, and lead. We know that developing leaders happens through opening opportunities for real leadership and service. Through strengthening our youth-led programs, we hope to bolster the voice of Hawaiʻi’s students as we work collectively to make an impact.
The Statewide PAAC Leadership Circle will launch in Spring 2022. Our goal is to have voluntary members from each club in our state who are interested in developing their skills as leaders. The Circle will work collaboratively to develop projects that are important and relevant; importance and relevance will be defined by the Circle members. This Circle will be youth-led and adult-supported from start to finish. Meetings will be held virtually.
Circle members will define:
- * Vision and mission for Circle
- * Leadership roles and commitment levels
- * Cadence of meeting
What could our new Circle do? Your voice will help us know!
Here are a few ideas students have shared:
- * Develop a PAAC Summer Leadership institute
- * Create a Statewide Global Action Plan or Service Project
- * Explore the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how they uniquely play out in our communities and globally
- * Develop and plan statewide PAAC events
- * Provide student voice for the future of PAAC clubs and programming
- * Define the legacy of your generation!
